Fully vaccinated: Day 2 PCR tests
If you're travelling or returning to the UK and you’re fully vaccinated, you'll now need to take a PCR test on Day 2 (from November 30th) and quarantine until you receive a negative result. This new testing requirement replaces Day 2 antigen tests.
Pre-departure test: Not required.
Post-arrival: You’ll need to take a Day 2 PCR test after your arrival.
Quarantine: You must quarantine until you receive a negative test result.
Our Day 2 PCR tests give results in 24 hours from check-in at the lab. If you're within the M25, you can get out of quarantine even sooner with our Expedited Courier service, which gives guaranteed results in 12-24 hours from swabbing (within M25 only).

Outbound travel from the UK
Your destination country may require that a ‘Fit to Fly’ test be taken within a specified timeframe prior to entry, usually 48-72 hours before your departure. The destination country may mandate that the test be either a PCR or a rapid antigen/lateral flow test (LFD). Before travelling, please make sure to check the country’s testing requirements to find out what test you need, and when to take it.
Inbound travel to the UK
Depending on your vaccination status, the tests required for travelling to the UK differ. You can check if your vaccines are approved/eligible here.
Fully vaccinated travellers
Fully vaccinated travellers, as defined by the UK government, now need to take a PCR after arriving in the UK, unless they are arriving from a red list country. Known as a Day 2 test, this can be taken on or before your second full day after arrival (with the day of arrival considered Day 0). Until you get a negative result, you must self-isolate.
Non-fully vaccinated travellers
Non-fully vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers, as defined by the UK government, will need a few different tests. Before travelling to the UK, you’ll need to take a pre-departure test. This can be a PCR or rapid antigen/lateral flow test (LFD) and it must be taken no earlier than 72 hours before you begin the start of your journey to the UK.
After arriving in the UK, you must self-isolate for 10 full days. On Day 2 and Day 8 after arrival (with the day of arrival considered Day 0), you are required to take a PCR test. When your self-isolation period is over, you may exit quarantine, subject to your Day 8 test returning as negative. If you test positive on your Day 2 test, you must continue to self-isolate for 10 days from the date you receive your test result. You will not be required to take your Day 8 test. If you test positive on your Day 8 test, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the date you receive your result. Please refer to government and NHS guidance for more information.
You can also take a Day 5 PCR test (known as Test to Release), to shorten your self-isolation. As soon as you have your results, you can exit quarantine early, but you must still take and return your Day 8 test.
We offer free Standard Delivery that typically takes 1-2 working days (or 2-3 days if you are located in the north of Scotland or in the Scottish Highlands and Islands). We will dispatch your tests on the same day if you order before 1:30pm, with the exception of Day 2 PCR tests, which will be dispatched on Day -1 (the day before your arrival date). We are currently unable to make deliveries to Northern Ireland.
Due to wider issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, our external delivery partners may encounter delays, so we recommend that you place your order well in advance.
We also offer an Expedited Courier Service within the M25, which is next-day delivery when booked before 6pm, with the exception of Fit to Fly PCR tests, which will arrive two days before your flight date. You will receive your confirmed delivery slot (between 9:00am and 2:00pm) and live tracking on the morning of the delivery.

For Expedited Courier tests, we aim to return results within 12-24 hours from midday on the day of swabbing.
Rapid Antigen Tests
We return official, verified results and any travel documents for rapid antigen / lateral flow tests within two hours of you uploading your test result image between the hours of 08:00 and 23:59 GMT. Between the hours of 00:00 and 08:00 GMT, results may take up to 8 hours.
VeriFLY is used by British Airways, American Airlines and others to speed up the test documentation verification process at check-in. We will send you a link along with your results, so you can easily upload them into the VeriFLY app.
It is possible for PCR tests to remain positive for sometime after Covid-19 infection. Anyone who has previously received a positive test result for Covid-19 should only be re-tested within a 90-day period if they develop any new symptoms of Covid-19.
