Our travel calculator will tell you when to order and take your test to get your results in good time before your flight and meet your airline or destination’s required timeframe for a valid test result before travel.

The timeframe prior to your flight you need to have taken your test by varies by airline or travel destination, so please confirm this with them before booking your test. It remains your responsibility to take the test within this timeframe.

Qured accepts no responsibility or liability for any costs arising from any delay, disruption or cancellation of your travel plans directly or indirectly caused by the requirement to produce a travel certificate. Please note, if you are travelling on a Tuesday or a Wednesday to a country which requires a test taken 72 hours prior to travel, the Royal Mail option is not suitable for you. However, if you are within the M25, we are able to offer our courier service. If the above applies to you and you are outside of the M25, unfortunately, we are unable to meet your needs.

To work out when you need to order your test from Qured, to get your results in good time before your flight, you can use our 'travel calculator'. Click here to use the calculator.

Please note that our calculator cannot tell you when to take your test. This varies by airline and destination, so it is your responsibility to check the maximum number of hours/days prior to your flight you need to have taken your test by, for it to be accepted. Once the airline has confirmed this, the test needs to be taken at the earliest date that can be stated on the results and returned to the lab immediately thereafter, so that we can get your results to you in good time. You are responsible for taking your test within the correct time frame and Qured will not provide any advice relating to these timings.

Our laboratory partners normally process and return results within 36 hours from receiving the test at the laboratory. However, from time to time the laboratories may have to prioritise NHS demand. You will receive an SMS notifying you that your results and travel certificate are available to view in the Qured app (available on iOS and Android). Upon request, results are also sent to your email from our encrypted Protonmail server. Please check the app and your spam folder before contacting our support team about results.

You will receive a PDF of the results which will include the patient name, date of test, DOB and results from the test taken and confirmation that the lab is UKAS accredited.

For an additional £20, we can provide a medical certificate signed by a Qured GP. This will state the date you took the sample and the date the results were released by our lab partner.

We offer two delivery options for the PCR test.

PCR test with Royal Mail with PDF lab results (arriving next day, if ordered before 3pm) £129. You will need to return via next day tracked mail.

PCR test with Courier with PDF lab results (within M25 next day), if ordered before 6pm £158.

Unfortunately neither we nor our lab partner are able to accept tests delivered by hand. Please make sure that you book in plenty of time to return your test and receive your results.

Our laboratory guarantees you will receive your results within 48 hours of them receiving your sample. If it is close to that time and you have not received your results, please email support@qured.com and they will assist. 

Please note that results will be delayed if you do not follow the instructions that are supplied with the test, such as not taking a valid sample or not providing correct information.

We have included a pre-paid return envelope to send the test back to our diagnostic partner. 

If returning your sample by post, please make sure the postal tracking label has been affixed to the front of the return envelope and that you have taken note of your postal tracking number.

Please note that your sample can only be posted in a Royal Mail priority post box in the UK.

Please do not use any other Royal Mail post box as your sample may not reach the laboratory in time to process.

If you cancel your test within 2 hours of ordering, we will process a full refund.

If you have already received your test but no longer wish to use it, we can offer a refund on receipt of the unused kit and return envelope, less a 25% administration fee.

Occasionally our lab will return a void or inconclusive result. This may mean that the swab was not performed correctly, or that there was a 'borderline' reading, which may happen at the earliest or late stages of infection. If you require retesting for either reason, we will offer you a discounted rate, but no refunds will be offered.
